Loans/Bosmans list
Post it up here please. If we can pull another Mr Relegator out of the hat we will still have a fighting chance.

It was a very strange signing. But just for context it should be remembered that the only reason we were scrambling for a forward at the eleventh hour in that window was because our proposed loan deal for Islam Slimani fell through.

This was due to something Karren Brady had written about the Leicester owners in her Sun column.

Moyes obviously went ahead with signing Hugill, but Brady definitely takes a portion of the blame for me. Still at least she was REALLY GOOD in this window just gone...

Also Zico (regarding signing young players) Moyes signed Dawson "as a stop-gap" when he couldn't get Tarkowski. I believe Dawson was over the age of 30, So Moyes don't really have an ageist policy (well may be for defenders!)

Re: Loans/Bosmans list
Don't forget Moyes signed Jordan Hugill for about £10 Million, he was no way a Premiership standard player. That gamble failed. He's barely a Championship player. He couldn't cut it for Norwich of West Brom even though he score for Cardiff City on his debut.

Costa at least has been there and done it - even though he a moody player with an attitude.

Re: Loans/Bosmans list
Harry liked a gamble, Moyes doesn't! Seem to remember Harry was warned off not just Di Canio but Hartson and Kitson didn't exactly come with glowing reviews either. We have had some luck with lucky punts over the years, McAvennie and Ward spring to mind, but we have had some disasters as well. You could argue that the only one of Moyes signings this time around who hasn't done it at some point is Vlasic but due diligence only gets you so far, a gamble is needed from time to time.

Shame Paulo di Candio never played for Everton - he would have fiited right in at the Toffees...

Hammer - very true but that was under different owners and manager in a very different time.

We shouldn't have to take punts like that although right now it's the best we can hope for!

I know that Costa has an attitude and is moody......but didn't we taken on a player with a hot temper i.e. Paulo do Dicano?

Re: Loans/Bosmans list
I was watching Russ interviewing Stewart Downing last night and thinking even now Tomkins, Kouyate and Sakho would have been better than nothing! Suspect it wouldn't go with Moyes' "young and good character policy", Sakho that is!)

Re: Loans/Bosmans list
I'd take Costa as it would be an option in a case where we have none.

But I cannot ever see Moyes signing someone like him.

Would love to see Kwang-song Han at West Ham.

Doubt he'd have much impact, would just like to see a North Korean in the prem.
